The Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians are set to face off in Game 4 of the American League Championship Series, with the Guardians holding a 2-1 lead in the series. The Rays need a win in this game to tie up the series, while the Guardians are looking to gain a significant advantage.
The two teams have been engaged in a back-and-forth battle throughout the series so far. In Game 1, the Rays held a lead, but the Guardians overcame the deficit late in the game. Game 2 saw the Rays take the lead, but the Guardians were unable to regain it. In Game 3, the Guardians scored first, but the Rays took the lead with a two-run triple. However, the Rays' lead evaporated in the bottom of the fifth, with the game ultimately ending 3-2 in favor of the Guardians.
The Rays will send Nick Martinez to the mound for Game 4, while the Guardians have not yet announced their starting pitcher. However, it is likely that the Guardians will employ a bullpen game, with a starter possibly opening the game but not expected to go deep into it.
The game is scheduled to take place tonight at 8:00 ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio, with coverage available on TBS and truTV.
