A 42-year-old man from Georgia has died after falling from a roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia. Hassan Kariem was on the 200-foot-tall Goliath roller coaster when the incident occurred on Monday.

Kariem's sister, Andrea Clark, described her brother as an "amazing person" and her "hero." She said that he had been in remission from cancer since 2015 and had survived a car fire just a month ago. Clark expressed her shock and grief, saying that she couldn't understand how someone who had overcome so much could be gone.

Clark also spoke about her brother's devotion to his loved ones, noting that he worked hard to provide for his family and helped raise his fiancée's daughter, whom he had known since she was 3 years old. She described him as someone who "could do it all."

The incident has sparked an investigation, with authorities yet to determine what caused Kariem to fall from the ride. Six Flags has temporarily closed similar roller coasters at other parks across the country as a precaution.

Clark has also condemned the circulation of disturbing images showing her brother's final moments as he fell from the roller coaster, calling it "evil" and "tragic."
