A suspicious device found outside a D.C. firehouse on Wednesday morning was determined to be an adult toy, according to a Metropolitan Police Department incident report.

The incident occurred in the 4300 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW, where officers from MPD were assisting personnel from D.C. Fire and EMS Engine 20.

According to the police report, a person approached an employee outside the rear of the firehouse and left a blue-and-black electronic device with exposed wires. The incident was reported shortly after 7 a.m.

MPD's bomb squad and K-9 unit responded to the scene, and they cleared the item as not being a threat. Police records later identified the recovered device as an electronic adult toy.
