New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson has revealed that his NBA championship hat, which his team won in June, is still packed away in a bag due to concerns about its odor.

Brunson made the comment on a recent episode of his podcast, "Roommates Show", which he co-hosts with teammate Josh Hart. When asked about his championship hat, Brunson said, "Mine is still not washed; it's in the bag, and I'm afraid to open it." He attributed the smell to a combination of substances, including champagne, sweat, cigars, food, beer, and tequila.

Brunson's reluctance to open the hat is likely due to the strong odor that has developed. Leaving the hat sealed in a bag for an extended period can exacerbate the problem, potentially leading to mold or mildew growth.

It's not clear when or if Brunson plans to wash or clean the hat, but the situation has sparked a lighthearted discussion about the importance of properly maintaining sports memorabilia.
